To enroll in an Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

After purchasing your training materials, you can complete your in-water training at more than 4,000 SSI Training Centers worldwide. Please note that, depending on the program, additional charges may apply for mandatory in-water training, academic sessions, or certification services required for course completion. These fees are charged by the Training Center and vary by location.
